Cloud Providers

Cloud provider monitors connect to your cloud infrastructure accounts to discover the resources running there — any service or storage system in the account — and show them in the Action Center for review. Each discovered resource can be assigned to a system and approved for inclusion in your system inventory.

Take action on results

After a scan completes, discovered resources appear in the Action Center under the monitor that detected them, along with the details needed to evaluate which system each one belongs to. The Action Center provides several actions for managing discovered cloud resources:

• Assign: Attach a discovered resource to one or more systems. Assignment is the first step — a resource must belong to a system before it can be approved.
• Unassign: Remove a system assignment made in error. Assignments that have already been approved can't be removed.
• Approve: Add the resource and its system assignment to your system inventory. Approve becomes available once the resource is assigned to a system; if an assigned system doesn't exist in your inventory yet, Fides creates it.
• Ignore: Ignore a resource you don't need to track. Ignored resources are hidden from the default Action Center view.
• Restore: Restore a previously ignored resource to the active results.
• Bulk actions: Select multiple resources to assign, approve, ignore, or restore in a single operation.
