Helios v2
Navigating the Action center and Schema explorer
After completing a Scan, staged resources appear in the Action center. Choose which monitor should be reviewed, within the Attention required tab. In-progress tasks can be viewed in the Activity tab. After a monitor is selected, the Schema explorer provides a tree navigation to review child assets of the staged resource.
Decisioning Staged Resources
Tables that require classification are marked by the green icon. The orange icon signifies that confirmation review is incomplete. After all fields are decisioned for confirmation, the Schema indicator icon disappears.
Using Confidence Scores to Accelerate Classification
The Action Center provides confidence score summary cards that give you an at-a-glance view of classification status across different confidence levels. Each monitor displays expandable cards showing the number of fields at each confidence level (High, Medium, Low), helping you quickly understand where to focus your review efforts.
Filtering by Confidence Score in Schema Explorer
The Schema Explorer allows you to filter fields by confidence score, enabling you to efficiently triage and prioritize your classification review. Filtering is supported via Status, Confidence, and Data category to help focus on fields that require decisioning.
Use the confidence filter in the Schema Explorer to focus on specific confidence levels. For example, you can filter for only Low confidence classifications to prioritize fields that need the most attention, or filter for High confidence classifications to quickly bulk-approve fields the model is certain about.
Recommended Workflow
To accelerate your classification workflow:
-
Start with High confidence classifications: Filter for High confidence fields and use bulk actions to quickly approve classifications the Fides classifier is certain about. This allows you to process a large volume of reliable classifications efficiently.
-
Review Medium confidence classifications: These classifications have reasonable certainty but may need verification. Review them to ensure accuracy before approval.
-
Focus on Low confidence classifications: These require the most attention. Review each Low confidence classification carefully, as the Fides classifier is uncertain about the appropriate data category.
-
Monitor progress: Use the Action Center summary cards to track your progress across different confidence levels and understand the overall state of your data discovery efforts.
Bulk actions are available to help decision across multiple fields at once, which is especially useful when working with High confidence classifications. Clicking on a field opens a details tray that explains why the Fides classifier predicted the data category, with the confidence score displayed to help you understand the classifier's certainty level. Individual fields can also be manually updated with data categories that will default as approved and marked as Manual.
